Bali Bagus - Part 2
So after making ourselves comforty at the bungalow, Gin and I were restless.
We needed to get out to the main touristy area and feel the vibe.
And off we went, walking alongside the streets outside Santika.
There were a lot of tourists, Caucasians mainly and some of them were like walking around topless. Eye candy alert!!
Gin and I had a foot massage done whilst waiting for Law to arrive. It was cheap, totally loved it! Just S$5++ for half an hour of massage and they were very pro, nothing sloppy.
Eventually Law got to Bali, to the hotel and to us.
Had our dinner at Blue Planet, their snapper fish was terrific! Wholesome goodess and totally fresh! (took some pic but they were too dark to be seen coz silly me had forgotten about the flash! :P)

Law waiting for dinner
The next morning, I went over to Nusa Dua to have brekkie with Gin.
She had to check out the room by noon thus we kinda lazed around the beach whilst waiting for time to pass.
Well lazing around = more camwhoring!

Law came by after his work and we proceeded to Ubud for some duck.
Too bad Gin ain't available coz she was gonna catch a flight to Jakarta.
And you know what, the cab ride to Ubud from Nusa Dua was like 1.5hr!!
Prior to reaching the place, I was thinking what had I subjected myself to?! Geez..
But but upon reaching the place, I had the most wonderful duck ever.
Crispy somemore! Mad luff it! And I think the restaurant name is the cutest ever.. *grinz*

Dirty Duck Diner

Crispy Duck = absolute wonderful!

Nice satay!

Me and Law with his colleagues
After lunch, we had another 1.5hr cab ride back to Kuta.
4 of us slept through the ride and by the time we got back to the hotel, it was evening...
KC, Law's colleagues wanted a massage thus we called up this parlour, Rose Garden.
Such good service, they sent a mini-van to pick us up from the hotel.
The massage was good! There were 2 therapists working my body at the same time, non-stop kneading with smooth strokes. Totally refreshed after the 2 hours!
Hearsay was the boss of Rose Garden is a Singaporean thus if we, Singaporeans, go there, we will get special rates. (and I did, it's very cheap compared to local massages and spas)
Dinner was settled at the restaurant next door to Rose Garden. Had fried flying fish (great!), petai, salted egg covered chicken (taste will grow on you)...

Fried fish

Salted egg covered chicken
Somehow I feel my Bali trip has made me put on 2 pounds, all delicious foods that I can't get enough of! *yum yum*
We had some drinks at nearby the Hard Rock Hotel area and I'm really amazed coz it seems like there was this endless flow of people walking around even though it's like late into the night.
People were smiling, drinking dancing and basically I feel everyone is affected by the party relaxed vibes of Bali.
Totally luff the place, and such a pity that my stay was so short. *boo woo*
Am looking forward to going Bali again!

Bali Bagus - Part 1
Yessssh I'm back from my hols...
And I'm so lucky to be alive yah?! (yeah, there are some people on this earth who actually warned me that I would be bombed to death when I'm over in Bali.. Duh!)
It was my first time in Bali and I really understand why the place is such a hot favourite for beach resorts. Everywhere was soooo nice and I mad luff the place! *swoooonz*
Soon after the chill-out by the beach, we proceeded to Kuta where I needed to check in for me and Lawrence. I can't imagine Nusa Dua and Kuta is like 25mins' drive away. That's really like Ang Mo Kio to Changi Airport (trust me, I cabbed to the Airport on Departure day).

Upon reaching Bali, me and Gin proceed to her hotel, Aston Bali Resort and Spa, in Nusa Dua. It was a tremendous great place! Everywhere was sooooo beautiful, the rooms, the pool, the beach...
Private beach at Aston
Me and Gin took our sweet time, dilly-ing around the resort. Next we had a late lunch at a cafe just opposite of the resort. The food was nice BUT BUT there were a lot of flies around us. Was it coz of the delicious food?! Geez.. I had a hard time swatting away flies. Initially it was like, okies it seems like the norm (as Gin put it) but as I delved deeper into my meal, I didn't really wanna share any of my lunch with a bunch of bug-eyed dirty flying things. I soon gave up (swatting flies AND my lunch) and decided to be a kind generous old lady and let the flies win.
*sighz*
Damages done after we had our share
So (late) lunch was over and off we went to the private beach for some sun!
Well, there ain't really anymore sun as Mr Sunny chose to hide behind some clouds at that point but there were some wind thus we lazed around at the beach. I nearly fell asleep until I saw the ang-mohs beside me sipping on their cocktail drinks.
I WANT A COCKTAIL DRINK TOO!
Ordered a strawberry crush (unsure of its ingredients but it does pack a punch) and it's 1 for 1 too! So Gin had the same drink as mine. Hehehehe..
Wanting to imitiate the bug eyed flies who had a share of my lunch..
Okies, no more bug-eyed but puffy eyes instead! Yucks!!!

We were staying at Santika Premier Beach Resort (wat's with the extra Premier?!). Din't explore much of the place coz we were too busy taking in our bungalow.
My first time staying in a bungalow (Downtown East bungalows dun count) and at Bali somemore! Hehehe

Home Alone
It's a weekend, family is holidaying in U.S and BB is in Jakarta for work.
So that makes me home alone!!! : S
Last night was the first time I stayed home without anyone in the house..
And it was so quiet.. Normally my dad would watch TV til late, there's the rumbling exhausted sounds from the ancient aircon, the younger bro would be surfing net etc...
But But when I got home (and I got home like 11ish so that I would not be so bothered by being alone), emptiness greeted me...
Such a turn-off! I walked around the living room like 3 times, hoping to find life and nope, TV does not equate to life but it's like eerily quiet. (haha such drama)
So I switched to my "life" aka Faithful Laptop and msn-ed with frens!
Got on FB but now I feel FB is turning stale.. Nothing exciting..
Need more online life... : S
And the best part is to minimize the home alone feeling, I'm escaping to Bali tomorrow!
Wheeeeee...
Just for a short 2 days, to soak up some sun and sea...
Can't wait! : P

2010
I spent the last day of 2009 having dinner with some close friends. When 2010 hinted that she was coming, I welcomed her with open arms.
A new year, a new beginning! There are a lot of things I'm so looking forward to!
Spring is acoming, there seems to be more wedding celebrations amongst my circle of friends and work is going well (but it could be better for me : P)
And I had set out some New Year resolutions, nothing overly-ambitious, mostly concentrated on my well-being. Think I should be taking care of myself more yah?

2010 Resolutions
- Drink more water
- Cut down on pubbing life
- Excerise twice weekly
- Learn to cook
That last resolution sounds weird but seriously, I really envy my bestie who can whip any simple ingredients into deliciously good dishes.. It's like wahhhhh :P
And ooops, think I had forgotten to input the very last resolution in. It's to BLOG more OFTEN!*hahahaha*
