October chills

Wahey.. I'm back!
Been to nowhere and here again... *winks*

Well just an update, I'm currently serving notice at my present company.
It's been long overdue and finally I will be on the path to higher development.
Dun get me wrong, current company is still alright but honestly I could do more with more money.
That packet of nasi goreng has probably increased by one or 2 dollars ever since I joined current company (3 years ago) but not my salary.. My salary still remained pathetically low. And sometimes I ever had to ask myself whether eating that nasi is worth it?! (Hahahah okies a bit OTT but..) How in the world is a big girl gonna ever enjoy nasi goreng again?! And I love my food, I love nasi goreng laden with lotsa "hao liao" lor (ingredients)!
Thus yeah, I'm moving on to better opportunities and higher pay. : )

More good news, I'm gonna to get my new flat soon!

BTO Punggol 21 4-Room The Probable Completion Date of your new flat is end Dec 2011. HDB will invite you to take possession of the flat when the construction of the flat is completed.

See above?! I got if off HDB website and I was really excited when I discover about the latest update.
And guess what, whilst I'm smiling crazily to myself and surfing the web for more info on my house, I discovered that the other blocks within the project are completed. And some of the owners are in the midst of renovation now!
WHAT?!
A bit more researching on the web and I realised my block is actually the last to be built thus we plus other owners will definitely be the last batch to collect their keys.
WHAT WHAT!
SO whilst other blocks could be completed in time for CNY 2012, I merely could only collecte my keys and wait until the season has passed before I could do anything. Hmmmmmmmm.......

Ehhhhhhhh kinda sucky, no?!
And the best part is even before I had gotten any keys, me and Law is like "bickering" (my term, his version is "sharing ideas") forever on how we are to do up the house. He want something along the lines of "simple and minimalist" which I do not understand. I'm no "less is more" person. I don't understand how the bare essentials could express me? I'm complex and flamboyant (I believe so, *firm nods*) and I like colors. A house is more than a space for me, it's my space (okies and Law's) so I believe we should do it in any way it pleases and reflect us. But Law's kinda resistant to brash, raw ideas. DANG!

Anyway we are still bickering or sharing ideas and taking time to research online, magazines and friends' ideas. Next up, perhaps we are considering to visit showflats and gather more inspiration. It's really tiring, having to consider a million and one factors for the house. *bleah*
Luckily Law's sister has offered to design our house. And she's an architect so I'm guessing the house will come out great! : ))
Tats.. til next time then!

Busy Bee

Busy busy busy!
With what, one might ask?
I know not!

I slave all day at my desk
From sunrise to sunset
Watching time pass me by

Work gets done
Yet work is never done
Busy busy busy

>____<

Hahahahaha I can't help smirking as I make up those lines
I'm busy but not entirely flooded with work
However I'm busy with ............

Seriously there's a blank even when I posed this question to myself.
I'm just like occupying myself with stuff, minute stuff that do not mean a thing
End of the night when I sleep, I had pushed the day's occurance back to my mind.
I'm dragging my feet to work
The heart is heavy and I mak esure ot get out of the workplace promptly.
A minute, no a second longer kinda make me sick.

It's time. I'm very sure of that.
Time for a change.
Time for new challenges.
A new environment perhaps.
A change would do me good.
I'm very sure of that.

Assalaam Alailum Maldives (Part 2)

Finally I managed to post the second portion of my Maldives trip.
In the previous post, I was saying we stayed in Male during the days Lawrence was required to work at the aiport. However the moment was completed, we moved out to Paradise Island Resort and Spa, a 20min ride from Male via speedboat.

Lawrence's associates had actually managed to get us a beach bungalow that was definitely cheaper than the published rates. Plus the associates claimed that they have friends who can give us some sorta of free dives from the resort's dive center. Paradise was beautiful! Plus the accommdation was really well maintained. There were few ants in the bathroom this time (phew!) and the beach bungalow was much more spacious than Rannalhi's. There were alot of PRCs (O_O) at the isl but however I still feel Paradise was relatively peaceful.

Me and Law spent our first morning there strolling around the isl, checking out the facilities they have. Law actually wanted to dive but the associate's lobang was not at the isl so we dared not ask for the freebie. Then again to make up for the loss, Law's associate arranged to let us have a free massage plus any program from the sea-sports center. There were so many to choose from and super expensive, I was really grateful that Law's associate are such sweet, gracious people. Initially I wanted to try jetski, parasailing, sunset cruise (wahhhhh so greedy) and then there was the dolphin cruise! This one is definitely my must-try!

After confirming our bookings for the dolphin cruise, me and Law decided to tan ourselves chao tar! Muahahahah... The waters around Paradise is pretty clear but there was lots of dead coral and reef on the sandbanks and it kinda hurt a lot when one is going down the waters. That was just a small con but overall Paradise is really highly recommended by me. Heheh.. We also upgraded to a water suite and the moment we moved into the suite, I was no longer seen outside the isl premises except for our meal times. The suite is superb! And I got to have my own pool even though the ocean is a few steps away!

It's luxurious living which I had never thought of splurging on but Law really was sweet, making sure I enjoyed myself thorougly in Paradise. : ) We slept and woke up to hear the ocean waves breaking against the rocks, we could see baby sharks during low tide. We caught our most beautiful sunset at Paradise too. And I feasted on foie gras during our dinner there. Honestly if the world is gonna end in 2012, I'm happy that I had experienced Maldives before I go. : ))
